First Aid at Work
The Health and Safety Executive requires employers to make provision for two levels of first aid trained personnel. The first level is Appointed Person, and our appointed person course meets the recommendations of the HSE for this level. The next level is the 4 day FAW course, which is also approved by the HSE.
FAW Course
This is a comprehensive course covering a wide range of first aid emergencies. This course is very practical and includes scenarios and role play to build on candidates' knowledge and confidence; enabling them to qualify as a First Aider for the workplace, meeting the statutory requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
NB. All candidates recieve a free training manual for use during the course and to take away with them

Course Duration
This is a four day course. By arrangement, the course can be run on non-consecutive days and over a number of weeks.
Certification
Candidates are independently examined on the final afternoon of the course. Upon successful completion certification is valid for three years.
