FAW Re-Qaulification Course
Candidates wishing to attend this course must be in possession of a current 'in date' FAW certificate. If a candidates' certificate has expired then the HSE require that they attend a 4 day FAW course.

| • Secondary Survey |

• Injuries to bones, joints and muscles |
| • Causes of unconsciousness |
• Crush injuries |
| • Head injuries |
• Wounds and bleeding |
| • Stroke |
• Treatment of burns and scalds |
| • Collapsed lung |
• Spinal injuries |
| • Choking |
• First aid equipment |
| • Asthma |
• First aid at work and the law |
Course Duration
This is a two day course.
Certification
Candidates are independently examined on the final afternoon of the course. Upon successful completion certification is valid for a further three years.
